At Pegasus Preschool, we endeavor to create a sound and nurturing home like environment where children can grow and learn. Our center philosophy revolves around the child’s development and healthy being. We strive to build a significant partnership with parents, their family and the greater community, which creates a feeling of acceptance and a sense of belonging, therefore maximizing the child’s potential and developing the bottom for future win and learning. Pegasus Preschool is licensed by the Department of Community Services to care for 30 children per day, and is staffed in accordance with the departments' requirement relating to qualifications and staffing levels. We are an accredited center, and we continuously aim for the maximum achievement of accreditation, which also means that our parents are eligible to claim Child Protection Benefits (CB). The CB is a payment made by the Commonwealth Government to help families with the cost of quality kid care. We are closed all public holidays (fees do apply), and for two weeks over Christmas (Fees not charged). It is our policy that all families pay a bond upon enrollment, which is a refundable enrollment fee and their fees one week in advance (this includes current week plus one). The parent must then continue to pay the weekly fee in advance in order to maintain a credit balance same to one week of fees. We value our children and childhood by providing a mirth learning environment for children to engage in significant play, which invites and cultivates children’s curiosity, imagination and confidence. We value our children as being unique individuals and recognize that they are different in their development, needs, abilities, interest and are given equal opportunities through an inclusive approach. Meals At Pegasus Preschool, we yield morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea for the children. If your child suffers from any allergies or requires a exceptional dietary intake, then please let our staff know prior starting preschool or during the enrollment process.
