Camden South Public School offers a well rounded and holistic education for all students through nurturing and providing for their academic, social and emotional needs. Our school culture focuses on the values of integrity, teamwork and respect. The school band has received accolades for performances at many local and regional events. They will be shown how to manage their online reading record during a library lesson. A variety of activities are on offer, and with the assistance of the Library Monitors we seek to provide a welcoming, nurturing, and stimulating environment. All students are welcome to come and appreciate the range of activities that are available. These activities are aimed at developing their leadership and organizational skills and building on their decision making processes. This year the band has once again attracted many new students. This was an exciting opportunity to mix with other school bands and perform for a large community gathering. The Camden South Band students love to perform at Grandparents Day and our school fete. A particular congratulations to these four people for making it through to the after round. Students occupied in film club are also working on the narrative text type and developing their literacy skills. Camden South gives students who are committed to the performing arts and wish to flourish their skills in performance the chance to join a dance group. Students from Years 36 uses their afternoon tea time to flourish their skipping skills and improve their fitness. Aquaponics is a total system where there is a tank with fish in it. Those who choose to be involved will labor in a group of six to eight students. Congratulations to all those who received placement in our Opportunity Class for following year. The children will get an opportunity to visit the classroom, have a chat to other students in the class and face the teacher. In 2012 Camden South Public School established a special education class for students with autism enabling parents to have their children schooled in their local community. The staff at Camden South Public School all work together to urge a culture of acceptance among st all students across the school. Students also participate in living skills and social skills lessons. He’s looked up to by many A teacher, what a sight to see!
